so i heard you beat legendary mode on hardcore... now ad eternity death mode yea i think this might be impossible... im serous and i made it start in hardmode and i couldnt beat the eye with paladium armor... ish. i near beat it. also hardmode thunderclouds are a nightmare... not only that but im shure the vitality and whatever the one that added cleric class was. also the clicker class addon makes it extremely anoying but i somehow barely could survive about 10 seconds against my first night... the mod i used to start in hardmode is new begginings. class:accursed. yes i had the magic storage mod on

Calamity loves dots probably because they bypass armor, which would otherwise allow the player to do Shenanigans(tm) which are "banned" in Calamity.

Would be cool if you could just stack multiple separate modifiers to custom the weapons. For example for swords you can have it as normal, light and heavy, then at the same time have it as normal, small and large. With each modifier stacking with each other you could make a weapon with many different stats or massive upsides and downsides.

Personally, I've always gone by the phrase "slow and steady wins the race, but that won't matter if you can't survive long in the first place"

What I find strange about this video is the heavy focus on horizontal mobility. I find the boss fairly reasonable on any difficulty if you stick to quick vertical movement to jump over the spikes, such as with the Slimy Saddle. With the Saddle, you fall down before any anti-air attacks get a chance to spawn in. This strategy also entirely negates the slow debuff, and gives you a lot more room to dodge when Shadow Hands spawn in, as you have 2 directions you could dodge into at worst given they only spawn one at a time. The one slight catch is you need to watch for the slightly longer delay for the ice spikes attack that surrounds Deerclops so you can get out of its range. Other than that, it's not a super demanding boss at all. Running under the legs constantly giving you no dodging space if a hand spawns in the way is easily the most anxiety-inducing thing I've seen in Terraria, also.

I just go the warding path but use beast statues…

So basically If you want a more casual game with lesser death go for defense build. If you want a more challenging but faster game or you can dodge every single attack go menacing. Either way play the game whatever you want as long as you have fun.

ngl the way you've suggested changing the reforge system sounds very fun. I would personally just remove legendary, unreal, and mythical so the other reforges could shine, as I think a lot of people would just keep rolling for the 'all-around' reforge also I would 100% go for a MASSIVE sword build. I want to attack THE ENTIRE screen that sounds AWESOME

I think that the way that it was stated by a monster hunter guru is correct or mostly correct here too. You might be able to keep yourself from ever getting hit by anything but even if you can many players especially when just starting off have problems with mobility and keeping themselves from getting hit and maybe one hit isn't enough to make a huge difference but the one hit difference might be enough to mean the difference between an expert player and a novice having fun in the same kind of battle or even in the same battle when in multi player.
